Spent the night at crooked river state park, ga. Almost deserted. Beautiful sunny and warm after the fog burned off.
Will head to NC shore today, hoping to stay south of the rain.

Left the campground around 9 am. Sunny with a few clouds and humid.
Should be north of Jacksonville tonight.
Made it! Who took the picture? Someone from Bayonne. Lady who checked me in at the campground? Atlantic City!
Beautiful, sunny and warm down here. Wish you were here!
Got to Pete and Gayle's last night before 9. Lots of rain in North Florida but dry and warm here in Bradenton.
Kids were up when I arrived and everyone looks great.
I'm refreshed after a good night's sleep and intentionally leaving a bit late as it is sunny and dry but cold.
Should be to Savannah around 1 or so and Jacksonville around 4 or 5 depending on weather, traffic and stamina.
Showers are predicted for N Florida, which will slow me down a bit, but it will warm up which should keep me on the bike longer.
Made it to Charlotte, NC. Mileagewise, this is half way between Hillsborough, NJ and Sarasota, FL (622 miles here, 626 to go tomorrow).
Tonight I test.in comfort at the Pineville NC Holiday Inn, booked on hotwire.com (breakfast included).
Well the waether dried out (still cold!) So I thought i'd stop in and say hello to the girls at JMU.
but I guess it was to early. No one home!
Rode through heavy snow on 78 up until harrisburg. Ice on the windshield and the whole nine yards. Always glad to make the turn south. Roads are finally dry, but the wind is as strong as advertised.
Rest stop at carlisle pa. Will get.some gas and push on to JMU.
Pretty much on schedule. Leaving observations:
1. Too much stuff!
2. Duct tape works where velcro fails
Worthy advice:
1. Breathe down (thanks Brian!)
2. Leave your house the way you would want someone to find (only you will know if I followed that one Deb)!
3. If you see a fork, take it
